Nantmel Bungalow

Nantmel is built in the same field that Gwegil Haul used to be on. The landowner at the time was SPM Bligh (The Bligh/Mary Price Estates) 

The first record we have is in the 1911 census was Harry Holden a retired Army Col and two visitors. From the records it is assumed that Nantmel was built between 1901 and 1911.  

1923 On 12/5/1923 David Watkins a Methodist Minister purchased the freehold from SPM Bligh, it appears he was already living in the property. He paid the sum of £385.00 for the freehold.  

1933 David Watkins owned the property until 27/11/1933 when it was sold to Isaac David Price for the sum of £250.00. Isaac David Price died 19/5/1943 .

The property was finally left to Kate Robinson. 1944 Kate Robinson sold the property on 23/8/1944 to Reginald Powell Jones a Hotel Manager for the sum of £240.00.  

1945 Reginald Powell Jones resold the property on 19/4/1945 to Sarah Jane Williams from Llanwrtyd for the sum of £275.00.   1953 Sarah Jane Williams sold the property to Percy Owen Prynne a Motor engineer on 6/7/1953 for the sum of £600.00.  

1959 Percy Owen Prynne sold the property to Nancy Zena Cronin the wife of Edward Victor Cronin of Poole in Dorset on 16/11/1959 for £800.00.  

1962 Nancy Zena Cronin sold the property back to Percy Owen Prynne a motor engineer of Prynne’s Service station Garth and Doris Harriet Prynne on 28/2/1962 for the sum of £1000.00.   Percy Owen Prynne died 1/10/1975, his net estate valued at £32181.03, the Executers of the estate were Antony Treloar Prynne of Garth and Carole Anne Jones of The Cammarch Hotel.  

Doris Harriet Prynne died 9/12/1997 the executers of her estate were Carol Anne Jones and Geoffrey Jones of Golf Links rd Builth. Title of the property was granted to them on 27/4/1998.  

1998 Carol Anne Jones sold the property to Eric John Painter and Ann Veronica Painter on 29/10/1998. 

2007 The property was sold again on the 6/7/2007
