Station House

Was built for the Station Master when the railway came in 1867. The line was opened from Builth to Llanwrtyd in 1867 and from Llanwrtyd to Llandovery in 1868.

  • 1881
     
    James Lloyd, age 26, Station Master his wife Ruth, age 34, daughter Maria, age 3, son James, age 7 months, Mother in Law, Ruth Griffiths, an assistant, and Sister in Law Louisa Griffiths, age 20, ( a dressmaker)
  • 1871
     
    William Allum, age 36, Station Master, his wife Louisa age 36, and sons James age 4 and William age 2 with a servant, Francis Davies age 12
