Aberceiros Inn

Thomas Bowen ( Evelyn Griffiths ( nee Bendle ) great grandfather) lived  and was the Innkeeper at White Hall (a property at the bottom of Cefnllan Lane) until he moved to Aberceiros Inn
 Actual bar was owned by Evans Bevan Brewery but Bill Price bought it back in 1960s

  • 1911
     
    Thomas Bowen the Innkeeper age 78 is still here with his wife Ann age 68. Their daughter Sarah Bendle age 39, grandaughter Evelyn Bendle age18, , grandson Willie Bendle age12 ,another daughter Clare Mackin age 32 who is a widow are all visiting on the night of the census. Percy Stephens age16 a  tailors apprentice is resident

  • 1901
     
    Thomas Bowen age 66 is now the Innkeeper, living with his wife Ann age 57, 2 daughters, Clara age 22 and Edith age 20 who are both post office clerks and 1 son Thomas age 19 who is a wheelwright


  • 1891
     
    Thomas Bowen age 58, the Sub Postmaster lived here with his wife Ann age 48 who was the innkeeper, a daughter Sarah E age 19 who was the post office assistant another daughter Louisa age 18, working as a servant and 2 daughters Clara age 13 and Edith age 11 and 1 son Thomas age 8, all in school

    Thomas Bowen age 48, a shop and Innkeeper, his wife Anne age 37, daughter Mary Anne age 23, a grocer's assistant,
    John age 17, Lizzie age 13, Sarah Emma age 9, Louisa age 7, all scholars
    Clara age 2, and Edith Gwen age 7 months
    In addition Elizabeth Davies age 48, an unmarried domestic servant from Cardiganshire
