Maesderwyn

This property first appears in the 1871 Census as Oakfield but by 1891 adopts the Welsh translation of this name - Maes derwyn

     William Waters age 47, an Assistant rate collector originally from New Zealand, his wife Maud age 37, from Pembrokeshire, daughters Violet W. age 13, Enid B. age 8, both born in Llangammarch, widowed sister C.H. Jones age 43, born in New Zealand, and her daughter Eleanor Jones age 11 and son Winston Jones age 9. Also Emily Nicol age 31 a maid / nurse born in Australia.

     Now listed as Maesderwen. ( Welsh for Oakfield ) 
    Julia Waters age 50, a widow, living on her own means, her son William age 28, daughter Katherine age 23, daughter Julia age 22, Jeannie ?- Vaughan a visitor age 34, living on her own means. Also Mary Thomas, age 22 a servant / domestic, Annie Herbert age 13, a servant and Charles Jolliffe age 14 , a servant

     George Fred Parratt, age 61, a retired officer of H M Treasury, his wife Annie age 35, and Anne Saunders, age 45, a Domestic Servant.

     William J. Wooding age 39, a retired shopkeeper and Landowner, his wife Elinor, age 27, sons James age 5, Benjamin age 4 and Frederick W. age 1. Also Margaret Williams age 23 and Isaac Price age 12, both General Servants
